A new video featuring Venom: Let There Be Carnage star Tom Hardy shows the actor asking fans at a recent special preview not to spoil the upcoming movie’s ending.
The video sees Hardy alongside director Andy Serkis and co-star Naomie Harris, who plays Shriek in the movie. “What you see here,” Hardy states, “when you leave here, let it stays here, yeah?”
Later on in the video, Hardy asks the audience if they will promise him that “whatever [they] see at the end of this movie, during the credits, [they] will let it stay [there]” and not tweet it or share it on Instagram. The video ends with Hardy thanking the audience and hoping they “have a lovely evening.”
There is validation to Hardy wanting fans to not reveal how the Lethal Protector’s latest adventure on the silver screen ends, as the post-credits scene for Let There Be Carnage was reportedly leaked online. Among the recent details revealed about it, the film was confirmed to be rated PG-13, while its runtime is only 90 minutes long, which Serkis recently stated was for a storytelling reason. It was also given a new release date of Oct. 1 due to the success of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Directed by Andy Serkis, Venom: Let There Be Carnage arrives in theaters Oct. 1.
