The cat’s out of the bag concerning what Brock Lesnar is called behind the scenes of WWE, with fellow ex-MMA fighter Matt Riddle divulging the Beast Incarnate’s secret nickname.
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Riddle recounted the moment he noticed the moniker on Lesnar’s dressing room door backstage while answering a question about whom he’d rather fight. Deciding between a match against Lesnar or WCW veteran Goldberg, Riddle let slip that behind the scenes, Lesnar is typically referred to as “Mr. Beast.”
“I’m gonna call him ‘Mr. Beast,’ because that’s what was on the door in the back, and I was like, ‘Who the hell is Mr. Beast?… I’m pretty sure that’s Brock,'” recalled the Raw Tag Team Champion. Lesnar, of course, is not to be confused with popular YouTuber MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson.
A former amateur wrestler, Lesnar was more than prepared when he entered WWE as the “Next Big Thing” in 2002. Following his initial WWE run, Lesnar has been back and forth in his affiliation with the promotion, at one point even departing for a brief stint as a professional football player, not to mention a rather successful run in UFC. Lesnar recently appeared at SummerSlam following a year-long absence from WWE, starring down Universal Champion Roman Reigns before giving John Cena a piece of his mind.
