Marvel Studios has revealed an official poster for the next episode of its Disney+ animated series What If…?, which promises to introduce T’Challa Star-Lord to the fray.
“T’Challa Star-Lord arrives in the next episode of Marvel Studios’ [What If…?], streaming Wednesday on [Disney+],” the Twitter caption reads. The poster itself sees T’Challa, known in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Panther, sporting his take on Star-Lord/Peter Quill’s outfit.
The next episode of What If…? will explore what things would have been like if it was T’Challa, not Peter Quill (of Guardians of the Galaxy fame), who grew up to become Star-Lord after being taken by the Ravagers as a child. It follows the first episode, which offered a peek into a world where Peggy Carter, not Steve Rogers, became a super-soldier during World War II.
T’Challa Star-Lord is voiced by the late Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed the prime version of T’Challa in the Marvel Studios films Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Boseman recorded lines for other variants of T’Challa who will appear in What If…? as well.
New episodes of Marvel Studios’ What If…? debut Wednesdays on Disney+.
