American Horror Stories will return for Season 2 in 2022.
In an official press release, FX announced that it has ordered a second season of American Horror Stories, the American Horror Story spinoff that debuted under the FX on Hulu banner last month. This announcement comes after American Horror Stories enjoyed the “most successful launch of any FX on Hulu series to date.”
American Horror Stories — a weekly anthology series set in the American Horror Story universe — is currently gearing up for the seventh and final episode of Season 1, “Game Over,” which is slated to arrive on FX on Hulu on Thursday, Aug. 19. Then, on Wednesday, Aug. 25 — less than one week later — American Horror Story returns for its 10th season, American Horror Story: Double Feature, on FX proper.
“Since 2011, the creators of American Horror Story have redefined the horror genre with various installments featuring a creepy asylum, a coven of witches, a traveling freak show, a haunted hotel and the apocalypse itself,” FX’s press release boasts. “The television series sprouted a legion of dedicated fans who anticipate what terrors the next chapter will hold.”
American Horror Story: Double Feature premieres Aug. 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
