Bray Wyatt Teases His New, Post-WWE Gimmick | CBR

Bray Wyatt has begun to tease another new wrestling persona following his release from WWE.

The artist formerly known as “The Fiend” shared a cryptic message and image on Twitter. “You can’t kill it,” Wyatt’s tweet reads. As for the image, it’s a narrow piece of black-and-white artwork featuring half of a face with a fierce snarl forming on the mouth. The face either has a mask over it, or facepaint hiding his identity. A sharp tooth can also be seen in the mouth.

Jason Baker, who helped craft Wyatt’s “Fiend” mask, also shared a short video on Twitter a few hours after Wyatt’s post, possibly alluding to another collaboration between the two.

Bray Wyatt was surprisingly released by WWE on July 31. “WWE has come to terms on the release of Bray Wyatt. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors,” a statement from the company read. Windham Lawrence Rotunda, aka Bray Wyatt, made his debut on the WWE main roster as part of the Nexus faction following time on the NXT competition program. He is most famously known for the creation of the Wyatt Family stable with the late Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, with Braun Strowman joining in its latter stages. A reason for Bray Wyatt’s release is reportedly for budget cuts.

He joins a list of recent WWE Superstars to be released across RAWSmackDown and NXT. Last week the developmental brand released Bobby Fish, Bronson Reed, Jake Atlas, Ari Sterling, Kona Reeves, Leon Ruff, Stephon Smith, Tyler Rust, Zechariah Smith, Desmond Troy, Asher Hale, Giant Zanjeer and Mercedes Martinez.
