Marvel Future Revolution confirmed that it will launch this fall.
Announced via the official Marvel Future Revolution Twitter account, fans desperate to get their hands on the highly anticipated follow-up to Marvel Future Fight should mark their calendars for Aug. 25. The game will launch with a variety of iconic playable characters, including Star-Lord, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Storm, Black Widow, Iron Man and Captain America.
The graphic posted alongside the release date announcement does highlight several characters players can expect to see in the game. The image features the aforementioned playable characters alongside heroes Rocket Raccoon, Baby Groot and Vision. A wide cast of villains are also present, including Kingpin, Magneto, Ultron, Yellow Jacket, M.O.D.O.K, Green Goblin and Red Skull.
Marvel Future Revolution will see players venture across a variety of worlds, both familiar and original. Upon release, players will be able to explore the Asgardian-themed Midgardia, the rain-soaked, deeply lit streets of the Hydra Empire Zone and the savage wastelands of Sakaar. All of these worlds have clashed together due to the multiverse disaster known as “Convergence.” Netmarble has confirmed that it will add more playable characters and zones through post-launch updates.
As with most superhero games, costumes will play a significant role in the gameplay loop. By completing quests and leveling up, players will be able to unlock a wide variety of outfits. Components of each skin can be swapped out, resulting in an estimated 400 million unique combinations, according to Netmarble. Marvel Future Revolution will include outfits pulled from the pages of Marvel Comics as well as original designs.
Players looking to access the mobile open-world RPG as soon as possible can pre-register for the game now. Anyone who signs up before release will be provided priority access to the game when it launches. Beyond that, they will also earn a bundle of in-game rewards, which includes a suite of exclusive cosmetics for Marvel Future Revolution‘s initial roster of characters.
Marvel Future Revolution will be available for both Android and iOS devices and launches on Aug. 25. You’ll be able to download the game through either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, depending on your device.
