Many anime characters would want Alphonse Elric as a friend or even a boyfriend, and it’s easy to see why. Alphonse is a kind and caring person who simply can’t ignore anyone in need, not even stray cats. This sets him apart from his brilliant but hotheaded big brother, Edward.
Iruma would appreciate Alphonse’s kindness, and he’d be quite impressed with Alphonse’s alchemy talents and knowledge of science. The two of them would have plenty to talk about, that’s for sure.

The celestial wizard Lucy Heartfilia was born into great wealth, but she wasn’t in the mood to coast on her family’s lifestyle. Lucy wanted adventure, and she sought to define herself through hard work and perseverance. She also wanted to make a lot of new friends, and she found them in the Fairy Tail guild.
Lucy may be a bit vain, but she is a loyal and compassionate friend to everyone around her, which would greatly impress Iruma. Lucy, in turn, would see Iruma as an adorable little brother and look after him. They share a sense of humor, too.
7 Takemichi Hanagaki Is A Loyal And Fearless Friend To All (Tokyo Revengers)
During the main events of Tokyo Revengers, Takemichi Hanagaki is a 20-something in the body of his 14-year-old self in the year 2005, and he’s determined to change the past to create a better future for his good friend, Hina Tachibana. Takemichi is a gritty underdog who won’t let anyone get hurt ever again.
Iruma would be hugely impressed with Takemichi’s sheer courage and tenacity in the face of serious odds, and he would identify with that. Takemichi is a kind but vulnerable kid surrounded by monsters, and Iruma knows what that feels like. They should definitely team up.
6 Shoya Ishida Would Inspire Iruma To Take His Side (A Silent Voice)
Shoya Ishida was a cruel bully in 6th grade, mostly because he was terrified of boredom and wanted to keep his daily life as exciting as possible. When he took things too far, he realized that he alone was the problem, and resolved to make things right no matter what.
Later, in high school, Shoya was a selfless and tenacious boy who would stop at nothing to understand the heart of the girl he’d hurt — and find redemption at any cost. Iruma would be reduced to tears, and eagerly join Shoya and speak on his behalf to everyone at school. Iruma knows a good person when he sees one.
5 Hinata Hyuga Needed Another Friend (Naruto)
In some ways, the meek Hinata Hyuga was in Iruma’s position within the Leaf Village. She did have natural talents, such as the Byakugan eye, but she wasn’t nearly on Neji’s or Sasuke’s level, and she felt intimidated by everything and everyone around her.
Iruma knows what that feels like, and he would extend the hand of friendship to this shy shinobi and get to know her better. Both he and Naruto can help Hinata feel less alone and gain the confidence necessary to become a fine ninja. Hinata would be incredibly grateful for the support.
4 Hanataro Yamada Is Gentle And Humble, Just Like Iruma (Bleach)
Hanataro Yamada of Squad 4 is often overlooked, since he only played a minor role in the story. But he did make a good case for himself. Hanataro has a Kido-type Zanpakuto that can heal people with ease, and that power reflects Hanataro’s selfless and gentle disposition. He wouldn’t hurt a fly.
Iruma Suzuki and Hanataro would get along great if they ever met, since they have roughly similar personalities and would appreciate each other’s role as an underdog. Iruma gets more attention than Hanataro does, but that shouldn’t be a problem for this new friendship.
3 Filo Would Be Like A Little Sister To Iruma (The Rising Of The Shield Hero)
The young Filo is a cheerful bird-person who’s brave in battle but enjoys peacetime far more. She’s also a hard worker, proven by her willingness to pull Naofumi’s wagon in her large bird form, and she competes with Raphtalia for Naofumi’s favor. She’s full of energy.
Iruma and Filo have similar personalities, and they both enjoy the little things in life and are always willing to meet new people. They could simply play around all day long — and this would give Raphtalia a chance to be alone with Naofumi at last.
2 Koichi Hirose Supports Josuke But Doesn’t Love Fighting (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Koichi Hirose is Josuke’s friend, but at first, he was more like Iruma than a JoBro during the Diamond is Unbreakable story arc. That is, he was a loyal but timid boy with no powers to speak of until he got his own Stand, the ever-evolving Echoes.
Koichi is now braver, having a Stand of his own, but he is still a gentle and compassionate boy who would much rather make a friend and keep the peace than toss people around. He and Iruma would make fine friends.
1 Naoya Nifuji Is Outgoing And Cheerful (Wotakoi: Love Is Hard For Otaku)
Naoya Nifuji may be a few years older than Iruma Suzuki (he just started college), but the two of them would still be great friends if they ever met. Unlike his aloof and self-absorbed brother Hirotaka, Naoya is a social butterfly who always sees the best in others.
Iruma would be charmed if he ever met Naoya, and he would see Naoya as the big brother he never had. Naoya would also be fascinated with Iruma’s ring, and he’d listen to all of Iruma’s wild tales of attending a demon school.
