Another 50,000 cheating players were banned from Call of Duty: Warzone over the course of a single week.
Developer Raven Software posted an update on social media confirming its two most recent waves of bans have targeted Call of Duty: Warzone cheaters numbering in the tens of thousands. The recently banned players from the free-to-play battle royale title include repeat offenders and “much more,” according to Raven. “Has been a while since our last anti-cheat update!” the developer stated. “Two Warzone ban waves this week. Over 50,000 accounts banned combined.”

Fans quickly responded to the tweet by pointing out that banned offenders could still continue create new accounts to cheat yet again. Many players requested that the developer integrate anti-cheat software to more effectively combat the game’s rampant cheating problem. Raven has not yet responded to these requests.
The Warzone development team is no stranger to dealing with players cheating their way to victory. The developer confirmed earlier this year it has already banned over half a million Warzone cheaters since the game launched in early 2020. Players often cheat by exploiting the game’s various bugs, such as a glitch that allowed players to enter Warzone‘s Gulag early to kill players while remaining invincible, as well as door on the Verdansk map that would kill any Warzone player who touched it.
