The heroes of the Marvel Universe are some of the most respected around, but they still have their share of bad days. Unfortunately, when one is battling some of the most intimidating foes on the planet, these bad days can lead to some pretty dark places. In the past, these places have led to heroes working with the villains, which can be a huge problem for those they used to call friends.
That said, there are some heroes who would make better henchmen than others for a variety of reasons. They’d be an asset to any villain’s pool of talent and make more trouble for the heroes they battle.
10 Wolverine Has Worked For Some Shady Customers In The Past
Wolverine is the best there is at what he does, and there have been times when that was very bad. Wolverine has worked for some shady customers in the past and hasn’t always been the best person. While it would be hard to get him to turn on his trusted friends, if it somehow happened, Wolverine would make the perfect henchman.
He’s tough, skilled, and, above all, loyal. He’s also proven to be a great teacher over the years, one who molds younger, less experienced folk into better fighters. He’d be a valuable asset for any villain he worked for.
9 Havok Could Leave His Brother’s Shadow By Working With The Villains
Havok has often been brainwashed into evil, but it’s honestly surprising that he never found his way there organically. While he’s often led X-Men teams, he’s always found himself rated less than his brother Cyclops, something that definitely gets under his skin. He’s even led the Avengers, giving orders to the likes of Thor and Cap, but he is still in Cyclops’s shadow.
Joining up with a villain and working his way up the henchmen ranks, while proving that he isn’t trying to infiltrate them, would be a perfect way to escape the stigma of being Cyclops’s younger, lesser brother. It would give him a chance to stand out all on his own.
8 Punisher’s Violent Methods Fit With The Villains
Picturing the Punisher as a henchman might feel odd, but he’s more of a villain than a lot of the bad guys out there. As one of Marvel’s greatest anti-heroes, he’s proven that there’s no end to how violent he can get to solve his problems, and that approach fits more with the bad guys than it does the heroes anyway.
In fact, he’s worked with the bad guys before, as he found himself on Hydra’s side when Captain America was running the organization. It might be a bit weird to see him working with the villains, but he’d quickly become one of the most dangerous henchmen around.
7 Black Widow Started Out As A Villain & It Wouldn’t Be Hard To See Her Go Back To That Life
Black Widow started her time in the Marvel Universe battling Iron Man as a Russian agent and is no stranger to killing. While she’s more than proven that she’s a hero, seeing her go back to being a villain wouldn’t be a huge stretch as the black ops world she lives in is full of instances of side-switching. Any villain lucky enough to sway Black Widow would have a deadly asset on their hands.
Black Widow is one of the best in her line of work, and that would make her an extremely effective henchman. She’s smart and skilled enough to fight it out with the toughest heroes and has done this sort of work before. Her friends are quite lucky she hasn’t decided to turn against them.
6 Daredevil Would Quickly Rise To The Top Of The Henchman World
Daredevil is one of the toughest heroes in New York City, with some pretty harrowing wins under his belt. However, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to see him snap and join the bad guys.
Daredevil as a henchman would be devastating to his fellow heroes because he already knows how to beat so many of them. With that in mind, any villain lucky enough to snatch him up would rise to the top of the underworld.
5 Iron Man Has A History Of Betraying His Friends
Iron Man is good at a couple of things, including building great armor, solving scientific problems, losing his business and fortune, and betraying his friends. While he likes to be in charge, being a henchman would be a good start to his supervillainous career. As a henchman, Iron Man would be pretty hard to beat.
Iron Man has fought his friends, lied to them, and done so much more over the years. Going all out and finally joining the bad guys would almost be fitting for him. He’s always cared more about self-aggrandizement more than anything else, and being a henchman would let him do that without any barriers.
4 Daken Has Made A Great Henchman In The Past & Could Easily Snap Back Into That Life
Daken has only recently joined with the heroes. Since his resurrection on Krakoa, he’s become a member of X-Factor and mended his relationship with his estranged father, Wolverine. However, like his father, he’s a man of few qualms and going back to his old life of villainy as a henchman wouldn’t be a road too far for him.
Daken has everything he needs to be an amazing henchman, including great combat skills, built-in weapons, unparalleled toughness, and he can use his pheromones to control people. He’s the perfect multi-faceted henchman and would be a great catch for any villain or evil group.
3 Hawkeye Would Be A Better Henchman Now Than He Was Before
Hawkeye worked with Black Widow against Iron Man, and while he’s proven himself as a hero over the years, he also has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. It would be hard to see him as a villain, but it’s not exactly impossible, as many don’t have a lot of respect for him and take him for granted. In this way, he would be able to prove just how good he is and show his old friends just how tough and serious he could be.
2 Wild Child Could Easily Be Made Into A Henchman
Wild Child has returned in a more bestial form than he’s been in a long time. The only people he respects are those who can beat him, and he’ll follow their lead unfailingly. By beating him up and telling him what to do, one can simply turn him from the side of heroes.
Wild Child has worked for villains before, and his more bestial outlook on things makes him the perfect henchman who would have no problem with going to whatever lengths to do his alpha’s bidding.
1 Winter Soldier’s Skills Make Him The Perfect Henchman
When Winter Soldier was revealed to the world, he was a brainwashed henchman, and he more than earned his reputation for deadliness. He was a match for his former partner Captain America and his deadly skills made him a foe no one wanted to face. While he’s worked hard to overcome all of that, he’d be one of the deadliest henchmen of them all if he were to regress. Winter Soldier has only gotten tougher over the years, so all of the heroes better watch out if he ever goes back to that life.
