WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Loki Episode 5, “Journey Into Mystery,” now streaming on Disney+.
After the events of Loki‘s fifth episode, the Disney+ series’ Boastful Variant became a trending topic on Twitter, much to the enjoyment of DeObia Oparei.
The actor replied to a tweet stating how his Boastful Loki deserved a better fate than what transpired in Episode 5, titled “Journey Into Mystery.” Oparei said, “#BoastfulLoki trending on Twitter. I acknowledge the conversation & that it’s caught the moment.” The #BoastfulLoki hashtag also now has an emoji of the actor’s Marvel Cinematic Universe character.
Oparei’s Boastful Loki, Richard E. Grant’s Classic Loki, Jack Veal’s Kid Loki and Alligator Loki greeted Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief in Episode 4’s post-credits scene. After being pruned by Judge Renslayer, Loki woke up to find himself in the Void with his four Variants, who took him to their hideout. They were later ambushed by President Loki, leading to a massive brawl with Boastful Loki in the center of the action. During the chaos, Loki and his other Variants minus Oparei’s character were able to escape. Out of the four new Variants introduced, Boastful Loki was the only one with his own Asgardian hammer.
The final episode of Loki will look to tie up loose ends; specifically the identity of the person or persons behind the Time-Keepers and TVA. With Loki and Sylvie reunited with “glorious purpose,” the duo will look to uncover who is really pulling the time-travel strings.

Grant and Jack Veal. New episodes premiere Wednesdays on Disney+.
