Spider-Man: No Way Home Toy Celebrates J. Jonah Jameson’s New Look

Among the many Spider-Man toys making their way to shelves this summer ahead of the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home is one that appears to solidify J. Jonah Jameson’s appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward.

No Way Home‘s J. Jonah Jameson action figure is directly on the character’s appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home, which saw J.K. Simmons reprise his role as Jonah from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man film trilogy, albeit without the Daily Bugle publisher’s trademark flattop. However, apart from that change — which appears to be here to stay — Jolly Jonah appears to be his usual, grouchy self.

John Jonah Jameson Jr. made his first appearance in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #1 back in March 1963, flattop and all. Since then, the character has gone on to be a series staple in the lives of both Peter Parker and Spider-Man and their many incarnations. Jonah would eventually be portrayed in live-action in the web-slinger’s 2002 big-screen debut in Sam Rami’s Spider-Man, with Simmons reprising the role for 2004’s Spider-Man 2 and 2007’s Spider-Man 3.

Also included in the merchandise first look — which features toys ranging from the 6-inch Legends line, to the 12-inch Titan Hero Series, to Funko to LEGO — is a strikingly different black-and-gold Spider-Man costume. However, fans may want to be cautious before checking out the preview, as a strange new ability/power for Spider-Man might have been spoiled.
