Nightwing #78 — the first issue in writer Tom Taylor and artist Bruno Redondo’s run on the series — has sold out once again, and is heading back for a third printing. The third printing features a brand-new cover by artist Riley Rossmo, which gives Dick Grayson’s dog Haley, aka Bitewing, her first superhero suit.
Taylor shared Rossmo’s new Nightwing #78 cover in a post to Twitter. The artwork features Haley sleeping in her bed as she dreams about patrolling the streets of Blüdhaven alongside Nightwing, in her very own Bitewing costume, no less.
“Our first issue of Nightwing has sold out again,” Taylor wrote. “Which means Haley gets her Bitewing moment on this awesome [Riley Rossmo] cover for our third printing of [Nightwing] #78. Huge thanks to all our readers, from me, [Bruno Redondo], [colorist Adriano Lucas], [letterer Wes Abbott], [editor Ben Meares] and [editor Jessica Chen].”
Written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by Bruno Redondo, Nightwing #78 is on sale now from DC Comics. The third printing is expected to arrive in comic shops on Tuesday, July 27 (with a final order cut-off date of July 1).
