As one of the greatest heroes in the Marvel Universe, Wolverine has been a member of every major team and has found himself at the forefront of the battle against evil on many occasions. However, as much as he has grown over the years, Wolverine still has a reputation for being hard to work with and it takes a lot to earn his respect.
It can be very hard for Wolverine to respect someone; he’s had one doozy of a life, so he has rather high standards in that regard. However, once he does respect someone, there’s no end to the lengths he’ll go for them.

Jubilee and Wolverine have been working together for a long time; she’s just one in the long line of young mutants he took under his wing and taught the ropes. They went through a lot together but she learned her lessons well, using what he taught her to become a great mutant on her own.

Spider-Man teams up with everybody and he likes some more than others. He and Wolverine have that in common and they also shared an enmity for the other that defined their relationship for years. Spider-Man thought Wolverine was a mad dog and Wolverine thought Spider-Man childish. However, after becoming Avengers together, things changed.

Along with Nightcrawler, Colossus and Wolverine formed a mini-group inside the X-Men, one that was built on friendship and mutual respect.
Colossus has never let the violence and horror of his life as an X-Man change the sensitive soul inside him and that’s one of the reasons that Wolverine respects him so much; Wolverine wishes that he could be the same way as Colossus.

Kate Pryde was the first young mutant Wolverine mentored and she’s proven to be one of the most successful. Wolverine taught her how to fight and he watched her grow into a confident and skilled woman. It’s doubtful even he knew how great she would become but like everyone else, he’s very proud of her.
Even before her more recent roles as one of the heads of the Hellfire Trading Company and a member of the Quiet Council, Wolverine respected Kate as an equal. Now he sees just how great she has become and knows that she was always greater than he ever expected, which makes him respect her even more.

From the moment he met her, Wolverine loved Jean Grey. While their relationship has had its ups and downs, Wolverine never stopped loving her but one thing has changed- how much he respects her. 4 Professor X Saw Something In Wolverine That No One Else Did
From the beginning, Wolverine had respect for Charles Xavier. Professor X was able to see through the layers of toughness and pain and saw the man underneath. Xavier took a chance bringing the violent and unpredictable Wolverine into the X-Men and both of them knew it; the fact he was willing to do that said volumes to Wolverine.
Professor X has made a lot of mistakes over the years and while Wolverine may not always like what the Professor has done or represents at any given time, that doesn’t change the deep respect he has for him. 3 Storm And Wolverine Have Been Through A Lot Together
Storm and Wolverine joined the X-Men at the same time and he was impressed with her from the start. Their friendship wasn’t easy in those early days but eventually, they became as close as anyone and he respected her immensely. This would only grow once she took over the team from Cyclops.
As leader of the X-Men, Storm excelled and Wolverine was always there, ready to follow her orders. He trusted her and her leadership without question, having fought alongside her for years. He knew that just how great she could be and respected her like he did few others.

Wolverine and Captain America fought together in WWII and while the two had their problems over the years, Wolverine always respected Cap. It’s pretty much impossible not to respect Cap- he’s done just about everything imaginable and he and Wolverine have found themselves doing a lot of the same things over the years. Wolverine understands just how hard Cap works and respects that.
Wolverine has worked with the best and he knows that Cap is near the top of that list. He trusts Cap’s leadership ability and knows that the Star-Spangled Avenger will go to any length to do the right thing. Wolverine respects him more than he lets on.
