Camrus Johnson, who plays Luke Fox in The CW series Batwoman, has teased Batwing’s arrival for the series’ upcoming Season 2 finale.
The episode, titled “Power,” sees the character suit up as Batwing for the first time. Photos from the finale gave fans a better look at the suit and Johnson in action, but recently, the actor posted on Twitter a behind-the-scenes teaser of his upcoming superhero debut. Fans were previously treated to official photos of Batwing earlier this month— the superhero’s introduction being something that Johnson and the Batwoman team had been working towards over the course of the actor’s Batwoman tenure.
Johnson himself previously stated just how much portraying the superhero meant to him. “The main reason I wanted to be in Batwoman was for this opportunity – to give kids like me another [Black] hero to look up to and relate to,” he said. “It’s hard not to smile when I catch myself in the mirror with the bat symbol on my chest, and I’ll keep smiling through every fight scene, every awesome stunt, and every Gotham night where Batwing is finally in the field!” With Batwing’s debut coming soon, fans won’t need to wait long to see the actor in his new superhero role.
