Vegeta is the bad boy of Dragon Ball Z, and despite being a loner, he has made a home for himself as part of the team of heroes who protect the Earth. In fact, even from the very beginning, he was never truly alone, as he came to Earth with his fellow Saiyan, Nappa. Vegeta is a complicated character, the last prince of his people, and while his cruelty and will to conquer made him a villain early on, he grew to become one of the most compelling heroes of the series. Watching his journey is nothing short of marvelous.
Speaking of marvels, the Marvel Universe has its fair share of iconic teams — both of heroes and villains — that Vegeta might find himself joining if given the chance. Each of these would speak to a different part of his character, but he could just as easily find his place among these groups as he did with the Z-Fighters of his own universe.
10 The Avengers Are Earth’s Greatest Champions
The Avengers are generally accepted as the main Earth-based team in the Marvel Universe. Vegeta is the sort of person who will not stand to be anything but the very best.
Over the years, the one-time would-be conqueror grew into a hero, fighting alongside the likes of Goku, Krillin, and Piccolo. He would likely undergo a similar character arc in Marvel, joining the Avengers as they assembled to fight against evil.
9 The Illuminati Rule The World In Secret
While the happy-go-lucky Goku loves a good fight for its own sake, Vegeta is a very different sort of person. The Saiyan prince wants to win, and he wants to rule. Combat is just a means to an end.
The Illuminati is a shadowy cabal that has manipulated events in the Marvel Universe in secret. Their members include Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Namor the Submariner, Professor Xavier, and King T’Challa, and as far as they are concerned, they basically rule the world. Vegeta would consider himself worthy of a seat among their numbers. Given the Saiyan’s experience, there is a chance they might actually let him join, though it seems more likely they would consider him a threat to be neutralized.
8 Guardians Of The Galaxy Fight Alien Threats
This probably goes without saying for most people, but Saiyans are not human. Sure, they look human and can even procreate with humans, but they are a unique alien species. And aliens are from space, a large part of which comprises Earth’s galaxy.
The Guardians of the Galaxy have a name that seems pretty self-explanatory. They often recruit new members, and Vegeta would be a great fit. He’s fought Namekians, Tuffles, Majin, the Frieza Force, and even Earthlings, giving him plenty of relevant experience.
7 The Starjammers Are Space Pirates Led By Corsair
Corsair is the leader of a group of space pirates called the Starjammers. He is also the father of the X-Men Cyclops and Havok.
Sailing through the galaxy along with crewmates such as the scaly green Ch’od and his lover Hepzibah, Corsair has gone on many swashbuckling adventures. The interesting thing about the Starjammers team is that Vegeta could very well join them at almost any point in his life. As an angry young man, he would be willing to raid and pillage, but even when he mellowed out with age, he would relish the opportunity for adventure with them.
6 The Masters Of Evil Would Be A Great Fit For Young Vegeta
When Vegeta first came to Earth, it was as a conqueror who hoped to find the Dragon Balls to gain immortality. The Z-Fighters learned of his arrival in advance from the Saiyan Raditz, Goku’s brother, and trained to stop him and his companion Nappa.
Though he grew more compassionate and companionable with time, Vegeta was not a nice guy at first. In fact, he was a classic villain. He would fit right in with Baron Zemo, Absorbing Man, Screaming Mimi, and the other Masters of Evil.
5 S.H.I.E.L.D. Investigates & Polices Superpowered Threats
At its core, S.H.I.E.L.D. is a secret agency with two purposes — intelligence gathering and responding to various superpowered threats.
Vegeta does not have the patience for intelligence gathering. He certainly does not have the skills or restraint needed for threat assessment. However, he would excel at responding to and neutralizing those threats and would do it with a grim smile on his face.
4 The Wrecking Crew’s Members Are Strong As Gods
The Wrecking Crew are a team of villains who are each strong enough to fight a god. Together, they can tear down just about anyone who would oppose them.
The members of this gang of supervillains all have gimmicks based on construction work. Vegeta would scoff at such antics, then show them that the real way to wreck someone is with a ki-powered Final Shine or Galick Gun attack.
3 The Ultimates Are Mean But Effective Fighters
The Ultimate Universe was made to be darker and more realistic than the main Marvel Universe. Unfortunately, that resulted in heroes who were a lot less heroic and a lot more mean-spirited.
The Ultimate version of the Avengers, the Ultimates, reflects this. Even Captain America is a jerk. But seeing how Vegeta is also a total jerk, he would fit right in. He would also be one of the only people who could stop the Ultimate Universe’s greatest villain, the Maker (AKA jerk-face Mister Fantastic).
2 The Hand Is A Clan Of Evil Ninja Assassins
The Hand is a group of ninja who specialize in assassination, killing their enemies with martial arts, and using such feudal weapons as katana, sai, and shuriken. They also move with supernatural speed and dexterity, surpassing what basic ninja training would allow someone to accomplish.
Superpowered martial artists are basically the only people Vegeta knows. The fact that the Hand also worships a demon called the Beast probably does nothing to deter him from keeping company with them. The biggest problem he would have with them is that he is not much for stealth and sneaking.
1 The Immortal Weapons Use Ki & Martial Arts
Speaking of superpowered martial artists, the Immortal Weapons are a team of heroes comprised of seven martial arts masters, each of which is the champion of one of the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven. Some of their members include Iron Fist, Fat Cobra, and the Prince of Orphans.
Vegeta might not quite be the Prince of Orphans, but he is the Prince of All Saiyans. And he is a martial arts master who uses ki to power his attacks. Iron Fist would look rusty compared to the sharp moves of the Saiyan Prince.
