WARNING: The following contains spoilers for the Season 3 finale of Westworld, “Crisis Theory.”
Prodigal Son star Aurora Perrineau has reportedly joined the cast of Westworld.
According to a report from Deadline, Perrineau has been cast in Season 4 of the HBO series in an undisclosed role for at least five episodes. HBO currently has not commented on or confirmed the casting.
Perrineau would join the cast of Westworld coming out of a starring role on Prodigal Son, the crime drama series that aired on Fox for two seasons. Her recent credits include Ava DuVernay’s Emmy-winning Netflix limited series When They See Us and Hulu’s Into the Dark.
Westworld Season 3 came to a fiery end with Episode 8, “Crisis Theory,” which saw Delores Prime (Evan Rachel Wood) sacrificing herself to free the real world from Engerrand Serac’s (Vincent Cassel) control. Though co-creators and showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have previously stated that the series does not have a set, six-season structure, the two post-credit scenes following after the Season 3 finale set up two very different possible outcomes as the show heads into Season 4. Season 4 of Westworld does not yet have a release date.
Westworld stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Simon Quarterman and Rodrigo Santoro, Aaron Paul, Vincent Cassel, Lena Waithe, Scott Mescudi, Marshawn Lynch, John Gallagher Jr., Michael Ealy and Tommy Flanagan. Seasons 1-3 are available to stream on HBO Max. A release date for Season 4 has yet to be announced.
