The first clip and a new set of images for Arcane, Netflix’s upcoming animated series based on Riot Games’ League of Legends, has been released.
Netflix debuted the clip and images during its Geeked Week fan event. The images and two-minute-long clip give fans a new look at Jinx exploring the ruins of an old arcade. She begins reassembling one of the machines before a flurry of flashback scenes to her past appears. Next, Jinx’s rage begins to boil over as she racks up a high score on the physical game.
There is also the first-ever Q&A with Arcane co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee, where they sit down with gaming expert Geoff Keighley to discuss what went into creating this League of Legends adaptation, the game’s rich mythology, early discussion around the characters and the franchise’s global fandom.
Along with providing new details on Arcane, Netflix also released news on a Castlevania spinoff featuring Richter Belmont, Far Cry anime series’ by Adi Shankar, the first art for the Splinter Cell anime and more.
The synopsis for Arcane can be found below.
Set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League champions-and the power that will tear them apart.
Arcane from Riot Games and Fortiche Productions will premiere on Netflix this fall.
