The Mandalorian Season 3 Still Hasn’t Started Production | CBR

Fans of The Mandalorian will have to continue waiting for the show’s third season per a new comment from the program’s star, Pedro Pascal.

“We haven’t shot a third,” Pascal told Ewan McGregor during an installment of Variety’s Actors on Actors.

Details about the next season of The Mandalorian are scarce, though rumors suggest that Wookiees will play some kind of role in the season. The fact that Season 2 of The Mandalorian ended with its two principal characters, Din Djarin and Grogu, going their separate ways makes future storytelling trajectories for the program especially hard to determine.

Though a third season of The Mandalorian has yet to begin shooting, there’s still plenty of Star Wars shows in the pipeline for Disney+. The Book of Boba Fett, which was teased in a post-credits scene in Mandalorian‘s Season 2 finale, is set to premiere on the service before the end of 2021. Both Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi are currently filming and are each set for a 2022 debut.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Season 3 has yet to receive a premiere date.
