The latest promo for Loki contains a fitting nod to another franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the Guardians of the Galaxy.
The nod to the Guardians of the Galaxy comes in the final moments of the Loki promo. As various scenes flash across the screen, Loki’s voiceover states, “I know what I am.” He then adds, “Good. Bad. Bit of both.” Of course, these almost exact lines were uttered by Star-Lord at the end of the first Guardians of the Galaxy film as the team got ready to leave Xandar. “What should we do next?” Peter Quill asks. “Something good? Something bad? Bit of both?”
A set of character posters were recently released for Loki, welcoming the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to the MCU. Loki finds himself a prisoner of the TVA after he stole the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame. Now, the TVA wants Loki’s help to repair the timeline that is now in chaos.
Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Richard E. Grant. The series premieres June 9 on Disney+.
