He only fought once, to protect Kagome from attacking demons, but after it was defeated, he kindly tended to the villagers’ wounds.

They show appreciation to Nausicaa when she saves a baby Ohmu.

He doesn’t enjoy fighting others, often expressing regret and sympathy when he does so, but he fights if he feels that he has a good reason for doing so.
