Disney+ has cast Gabriella Baldacchino as Amy Adams’ daughter Morgan in the upcoming Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted.
Gabriella Baldacchino will play the grown-up daughter of Amy Adams’ Princess Giselle in Disenchanted. Rachel Covey previously portrayed Morgan in Enchanted. Adams will return to her role of Giselle and produce Disenchanted alongside Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld, who previously served as producers on Enchanted. Adam Shankman will handle directing duties.
Walt Disney Studios shared a video of Baldacchino learning she would be starring in Disenchanted, along with announcing other new cast members including Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Oscar Nunez (The Office), Jayma Mays (Glee) and Maya Rudolph (Saturday Night Live). Reprising their roles from Enchanted include Patrick Dempsey as Giselle’s husband Robert Philip, James Marsden as Prince Edward and Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine.
“Working again with Disney has been like coming home,” Shankman said in a statement. “With Amy and this extraordinary cast, Alan and Stephen’s mind blowing new score, and Barry and Disney’s support, I just hope to bring magic and joy to audiences around the world.”

Enchanted premiered in 2007, and served as both homage and parody of Disney’s animated films. Disenchanted was officially announced at Disney Investor Day in 2020.

“Disenchanted” features the much-anticipated return of Giselle, the princess from the fairy tale world of Andalasia banished to Manhattan who found her real Princess Charming in divorce lawyer Robert Philip. 15 years later, Giselle moves to the suburb of Monroeville with Robert and their teenage daughter Morgan, where she must juggle the challenges that come with a new home and discover what happily ever after truly means to her and her new family.
Directed by Adam Shankman, Disenchanted stars Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Maya Rudolph, Kolton Stewart, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Oscar Nunez and Gabriella Baldacchino. It is slated to premiere in 2022 on Disney+.
