Lara Tybur was the War Hammer Titan and among the most powerful characters of the Attack On Titan universe. Using her wide and diverse arsenal of crystalized weapons, she brought Eren Yeager to his knees and forced him to rely on Mikasa for salvation.
The carapace surrounding her titan body provides a tremendous amount of protection, one only rivaled by the shell protecting her human form. By matching Lara against some of anime’s most formidable characters, we can better appreciate the firepower necessary in order to take her down for good.
10 COULD BEAT: Sasori’s Weapons Would Be Worthless Against Lara’s Armored Body (Naruto)
Most of Sasori’s arsenal would be completely worthless against Lara’s body. His poisons, saws, and other nefarious weapons would all fail to crack the carapace surrounding the War Hammer, which was in turn capable of withstanding punches from Eren Yeager.
The Akatsuki member’s only option would be to use the Third Kazekage’s iron sand. However, considering Lara’s weapons have far greater reach and could destroy entire buildings with a single graze, she could smash through the villain’s jutsu and destroy him in the process.
9 WOULD LOSE TO: Okuyasu Could Kill Tybur With Two Strokes Of The Hand (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Okuyasu’s “the Hand” was capable of erasing whatever it touched as if it was never there to begin with. This would allow him to bypass the protective cocoon Lara surrounds herself in, especially since she is completely immobilized while controlling her titan.
Though the War Hammer itself would still be a difficult obstacle to overcome, Nijimura is able to close the distance between himself and his goal by swiping at the space between them. Subsequently, only two uses of his Stand would be necessary for a victory over Tybur.
8 COULD BEAT: Seryu Ubiquitous’ Straightforward Attacks Would Work Against Herself (Akame Ga Kill!)
Seryu Ubiquitous was enhanced through Doctor Stylish’s prosthetics, allowing for a wide assortment of weapons by which to dispatch her foes. Her imperial arms were capable of transforming into a hulking monster, providing a necessary balance between precision and force.
However, Seryu has shown relatively poor durability, debilitated by and eventually succumbing to the caliber of Mine’s sniper rifle. Consequently, Lara’s War Hammer would provide her a means of safely dispatching the Jaeger loyalist from the weapons she can produce to keep her foes at a distance.
7 WOULD LOSE TO: Shigaraki’s “Decay” Quirk Would Turn Lara’s Defenses Against Her (My Hero Academia)
Shigaraki’s “Decay” quirk was capable of spreading throughout its target and disintegrating whatever it touched. Since Lara is connected to her War Hammer by a tether, he would only need to graze the giant in order to procure her demise.
Given that Tomura has displayed commendable feats of agility (one of the few antagonists able to seize Eraserhead’s drape after it has been cast and dodge all of Snatch’s attacks), it follows that he could circumvent the War Hammer long enough to lay his hands on her.
6 COULD BEAT: Annie Leonhart’s Hardening Wouldn’t Protect Her (Attack On Titan)
Annie Leonhart hardened specific parts of her body to supplement her efforts in battle. However, this skill would be completely worthless against Lara since her war maul was capable of obliterating Eren’s arms even with such defensive measures in place.
Though the Female Titan may still have an advantage in combat experience, Lara can erect gigantic pillars to impale her with or simply skewer her feet in spikes. These treacherous attacks would provide the window she needs to bring about the Warrior’s defeat.
5 WOULD LOSE TO: Escanor Has Much Higher Durability & Offensive Caliber (Seven Deadly Sins)
Escanor had tremendous durability to such a degree that Lara couldn’t hurt him even if her attacks landed. He was capable of withstanding the brunt of a strike by a Critical Over enhanced Galand, who was strong enough to destroy an entire town in seconds even in his base state.
Considering this, the War Hammer’s spikes would fail to break his skin, securing the Lion Sin a comfortable victory as he finds Lara’s shell and cleaves it in half with Rhitta.
4 COULD BEAT: Jakuzure’s Weapons Are Lackluster & She Has Low Durability (Kill La Kill)
Jakuzure was capable of unleashing dozens of explosives at her adversaries and flying through the usage of her tier-three life fiber uniform. However, she has never displayed any feats of innate durability, and her arsenal lacks the impactive force necessary to destroy the War Hammer’s body.
Though flight would be a viable utility for the Elite Four member’s odds, Tybur can produce spikes that tower over buildings instantly. As a result, the student leader would soon find herself impaled through the chest.
3 WOULD LOSE TO: Oars Has Absurdly High Durability & Destructive Power (One Piece)
Oars was a resurrected giant strong enough to resist the combined attacks of the Straw Hat crew. This included the unmitigated wrath of Franky (whose cola blast was powerful enough to destroy a massive stone bridge) and Zoro (strong enough to fight evenly with a man who cleaved a massive tower in half).
Additionally, Oars’ raw force reduced most of Thriller Bark to rubble, scattering debris indiscriminately across the battlefield. Given his combined feats of offense and defense, he would not struggle to resist Lara’s spikes or crush the barrier protecting her.
2 COULD BEAT: Pike’s Webs Would Be Irrelevant (Hunter X Hunter)
Pike was a chimera ant whose webs were strong enough to restrain most hunters and even Phantom Troupe members. He was also capable of producing them in large quantities to leave adversaries immobilized in moments.
However, he would need to make an unreasonable amount of thread to restrain Lara before she could retaliate given her larger size. Even if he did and the titan was somehow completely restrained, she could still skewer him with a massive spike column or dozens of smaller ones beneath him.
1 WOULD LOSE TO: Yammy’s Cero Could Destroy The War Hammer & Lara Along With it (Bleach)
It’s reasonable that Lara might stand a chance against Yammy in his base state. Ichigo possessed enough strength and reflexes to cut through his Hierro and sever his arm, with even Uryu’s arrows stunning the Espada before sending him plummeting through the floor.
However, the War Hammer could never resist the villain in his Resurreccion form. In this state, he was powerful enough to create gigantic craters with a single cero and resist the combined assault of Kenpachi and Byakuya (for a time). A single blast would be sufficient enough to destroy Tybur’s giant and her along with it, protective cocoon or not.
