The villain for Season 2 of Amazon Prime Video’s Invincible has been revealed.
Invincible co-creator Robert Kirkman revealed that Angstrom Levy will play a role in future episodes of the Image Comics/Skybound adaptation via a video posted on the official Invincible Twitter account. “Two more seasons! We’re going to get to do all that stuff we talked about!” Kirkman said while teasing more development for Mark Grayson and hinting at a space journey. “There might be some Angstrom Levy!” he said in closing, adding “If I can spoil something?”
“Seasons 2 and 3 might give the show a whole new dimension…or a few hundred,” Invincible tweeted wrote, hinting at Levy’s power to cross alternate dimensions.
In the Invincible comic, Levy attempted to merge the intelligence of his various alternate universe selves into one mind. The process was halted by Invincible, which led to Levy swearing vengeance against the young hero. Levy is also behind the events of “The Invincible War,” which saw multiple alternate dimensions of Invincible invade Earth.
Invincible was renewed for two more seasons by Amazon Prime Video before its Season 1 finale. In addition to being a co-creator for the Invincible comic, Kirkman also serves as an executive producer on the television adaptation and wrote the Season 1 premiere and finale.
