A new video released by Marvel Studios provides a first look at Marvel’s Eternals.
Narrated by the late Stan Lee, the video features all upcoming Marvel movies, including Eternals, which offered a first look at the full cast, including Angelina Jolie as the white-haired, golden-sword-wielding Thena. Eternals is set to release Nov. 5, 2021.
The clip, which can be viewed at the time stamp 2:19, also included Salma Hayak, whose voice can be heard saying, “When you love something, you fight for it.” The rest of the cast was also shown, including Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani and Gemma Chan, whose character Sersi says, “We’re the ones who changed everything.”
Also featured were other titles set to premiere in Phase 4 and Phase 5 of the MCU, including Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, but also new titles for movies like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Marvels. The video — titled “Marvel Studios Celebrates the Movies” — also featured iconic moments from Phase 3 and 4 of the MCU, all paired with Lee’s narration.
“I love being with people, that’s the most incredible thing in the world,” Lee’s voiceover says. “That world may change and evolve, but the one thing that will never change: we’re all part of one big family. That man next to you, he’s your brother. That woman over there, she’s your sister. We’re all part of one universe that moves ever upward and onward to greater glory.”
Directed by Chloé Zhao from a screenplay by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, Eternals stars Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Barry Keoghan as Druig and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman/Black Knight. The film arrives in theaters Nov. 5.
