WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has a new theme song to make his entrances even more dramatic.
The official WWE Twitter shared a video debuting the song, adding the caption, “The Head of the Table emerged for his #UniversalTitle Match against @WWEDanielBryan on #SmackDown with a whole new theme song.”
In the video, Reigns takes the stage and holds up his championship belt while the new music blares. The announcer notes that “Tonight marks Roman Reigns’ two hundred forty-second day as Universal Champion.”
A new theme song for Reigns was teased as early as November. Now that it’s debuted, the music gathered mixed reactions from fans on Twitter.
Reigns returned to in-ring action at August’s SummerSlam event, when he attacked “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman after their title match had concluded, before raising the WWE Universal Championship over his head. Soon after, Reigns aligned himself with Paul Heyman, thereby confirming his heel turn and showing a darker side to his attitude. This new persona was further cemented at Payback, when Reigns inserted himself late into the show’s main event, winning the WWE Universal title in the process.
