Creepshow Clip: Justin Long Puts a Twist on Virtual Reality | CBR

As Shudder’s Creepshow prepares for its Season 2 finale, CBR can exclusively share a clip from the episode, where Simon (Justin Long) shows off his immersive virtual reality experience that can send the user into their favorite film.

The “Night of the Living Late Show” clip picks up with Simon excitedly leading his wife (D’Arcy Carden, The Good Place) down the hallway. Upon entering his workspace, Simon dropped to his knees in front of his futuristic-looking invention, declaring, “I give you the Immerso Pod: the world’s first virtual reality home theater system!”

His wife was unfamiliar with the technology, but it didn’t stop Simon from ranting about how the machine works. Still not fully grasping the concept, Simon encouraged her to get in and give it a try. She was not enthusiastic. “It looks cramped,” she responded. “I mean, can you even move around in there?”

Simon tried to persuade her, comparing the Immerso Pod to a dream state. “You imagine you move, and in the VR, you move. That’s the brilliant part,” he said with a big smile. “But instead of moving in a dream, you’re moving inside of a movie. Whatever your favorite movie is. The GodfatherJaws. If it’s in the hard drive, you can be in it.”

“Which movie are you in?” she asked.

Horror Express, of course,” Simon replied instantly. “It’s got everything. Peter Cushing. Christopher Lee. A monster. I fell head over heels with… the whole movie,” he finished, staring at the women in the Horror Express poster as menacing background music began to play.
