Time has passed within the Black Clover universe, meaning that characters the audiences have been following throughout the story might have a few years added to their age since when fans first met them.
Some characters were introduced late enough into the series that a time skip doesn’t really change their age. Added to that, for some characters, pinning an exact age on them can be a bit tricky, since their chronological age and biological age might not be the same, or because it was never clear exactly how old they were in the first place. On the other hand, quite a few characters are quite open about how old they are, especially when they certainly don’t look their age.
12 Asta: He Is 16 After The Timeskip
Asta, one of the central characters of Black Clover, dreams of becoming the Wizard King, honing his Anti-Magic attribute to compensate for being one of the few people with a seemingly natural lack of magic.
Asta is 15 at the start, 16 by the Star Awards Festival, and 17 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion. Having been left at a church by his mother, the day he was taken in is usually treated as his birthday.
11 Yuno: He Is 16 After The Timeskip
Yuno is a cross between a childhood friend and a chief rival to Asta, and even has a similar backstory to him. That said, his talent in Wind Magic hints there’s more to his origin than meets the eye.

10 Noelle: She Is 17 After The Timeskip
Noelle comes from the House of Silva who has a strong potential when it comes to Water Magic. She doesn’t have much control, however, leaving her as something of an outcast within her own family.
Noelle is 15 at the start of the series and 17 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion.
9 Yami: He Is 29 After The Timeskip
Yami is the Black Bulls Captain who originates from the Eastern country. His attribute is Dark Magic which he mostly uses to enhance his blade.
Yami is 28 at the start of the series and 29 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion.
8 Charmy: She Is 20 After The Timeskip
Charmy commands Cotton and Food Magic with an interesting heritage: she’s actually half-dwarf, which actually adds a unique spin to her magical abilities.
Charmy is 19 when introduced in the series and 20 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion. Generally, the mature form she takes when using her Food Magic is seen as looking closer to her chronological age than her regular appearance.
7 Gauche: He Is 20 After The Timeskip
Gauche, a noble from the Adlai family, is devoted to his sister and has lived as both a knight and a criminal. He has the attribute of Mirror Magic, which essentially gives him the power to reflect light.
Gauche is 19 when introduced in the series and 20 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion. for his part, he is somewhat surprised to be close in age to Charmy.
6 Vanessa: She Is 25 After The Timeskip
Vanessa is a daughter of the Witch Queen and has grew up locked in a cage in order to harness her magic, until she eventually escaped the Forest of Witches. She has the power of Thread Magic, which even allows her to manipulate the thread of fate.
Vanessa is 24 when introduced in the series and 25 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion.
5 Grey: She Is 25 After The Timeskip
Treated like a slave by her stepmother and expelled from the house by her stepsisters, Grey has relied on her Transformation Magic to survive, even posing as a large man. But there might be more to her magic than meets the eye.
Appearances can be deceptive and Grey is older than her youthful looks would imply. She’s actually close in age to Vanessa, being 24 when her true form is revealed and 25 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion.
4 Finral: He Is 22 After The Timeskip
Coming from the Vaude family, he was disowned in favor of his younger brother. Ironically, he’s actually one of the level-headed members of the Black Bulls. He uses Spatial Magic, which gives him the power of portals.
Finral is 21 when introduced in the series and 22 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion.
3 Magna: He Is 19 After The Timeskip
Manga is a former delinquent who might still look the part but is nicer than he appears. He uses Flame Magic, which he controls with kind of a sports theme.
Magna is 18 when introduced in the series and 19 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion.
2 Luck: He Is 19 After The Timeskip
Luck is a friendly young man who uses Lightning Magic who controls, which he can even use to make him move at high speeds.
Similar to Grey, he looks younger than he actually is. Luck is 18 when introduced in the series and 19 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion.
1 Secre: Her Human Form Is 18 After The Timeskip
Also known as Nero, an anti-bird who seems fond of Asta, her real name is Secre Swallowtail. She has a history with the first Wizard King, Lumiere Silvamillion Clover. Using Forbidden Magic to save him during the elf massacre is what caused her to be stuck in the form of Nero. Her attribute is the ancient Sealing Magic to seal and release objects, people, and even damage.
Age is tricky when it comes to Secre. When it comes to her human form, biologically speaking, she is 17 when introduced in the series and 18 by the time of the Spade Kingdom Invasion. As an anti-bird, however, she is at least 500 years old.
