The entire Naruto series was full of interesting characters (especially shinobi) who came from very diverse backgrounds and possessed some exceptionally unique abilities. Most shinobi came from specific clans and used jutsu and fighting techniques that were unique to their clans.
Some clans had Kekkei Genkai abilities where the shinobi were born with the abilities due to their unique DNA, while some had developed jutsu that were specific to their own clan’s abilities. Most clans were secretive about their powers and did not let outsiders learn their techniques. These secret Jutsu were called Hiden Jutsu, and they were only taught to the clan’s own members.
10 Uzumaki Clan’s Adamantine Sealing Chains Could Restrict Even Tailed Beasts
Fans would have seen the chains Kushina Uzumaki used to bind the Nine-Tailed Fox with. However, very few people knew that the jutsu she used was a jutsu unique to the Uzumaki clan.
With this technique, the clan members could create chains from their own chakra, with the chains being so strong that they could even restrict even Tailed Beasts. By using two or more chains, an Uzumaki could also make an impenetrable barrier with this jutsu.
9 Sarutobi Clan’s Majestic Flame Jutsu Came In Very Handy During The Fourth Shinobi War
The Sarutobi clan was one of the least explored clans in the show, even though Konoha’s third Hokage was a Sarutobi. Sarutobi clan shinobi were Fire Style users and their jutsu techniques came in very handy during the Fourth Shinobi War.
With this particular jutsu, they could shoot fire out of their mouths, the intensity of which kept increasing as the flames forged ahead. These flames were so hot that they could easily vaporize water quickly, and the Sarutobi clan used this jutsu to quickly dry out the water and quicklime mixture to capture the Ten-Tails during the Fourth Shinobi War.
8 Tenketsu Needle Jutsu Was A Lesser Known Hyuga Technique
While the show explored a lot of the Hyuga clan’s techniques, this jutsu was only seen once in the show. With the Gentle Fist Tenketsu Needle Jutsu, a Hyuga member could block the chakra flow of a particular body part by striking the chakra point with two fingers.
When Hōichi captured Gaara and Fū and was trying to extract their Tailed Beasts during the second round of Chunin Exams, Neji used this technique to block their chakra flow and stopped the Tailed Beast chakra from leaking out, thus ending the extraction process.
7 Fūma Clan’s Curse Mandala Jutsu Could Crush The Enemies
Fūma Clan was a Clan that hailed from Orochimaru’s secret village, the Hidden Sound Village, which was known for their unbreakable chakra threads and Curse Mandala HidenJutsu.
With this jutsu, a Fūma shinobi could trap its enemy in a cage made out of chakra shaped like a pyramid. Once trapped, the cage began to shrink and crushed the enemy inside. Arashi used this jutsu on Naruto, but he was saved by Sasame.
6 The Iburi Clan’s Kekkei Genkai Allowed Them To Turn Into Smoke
The Iburi Clan was a clan from the Land of Fire that possessed the Kekkei Genkai, with which they could turn into smoke, either partially or fully. When in smoke form, they were immune to any sort of physical attacks and could also enter a person’s body and possess them.
However, this ability was as dangerous as it was helpful, because while in smoke form, if a powerful gust of wind scattered the smoke, it led to the death of the shinobi.
5 The Kedōin Clan Members Could Copy Anyone’s Face & Smell
The Kedōin Clan members could use a special Hidenjutsu called the Face Copying Jutsu, where they could clone themselves to look like any other human and even replicate their smell, however, they could not copy said person’s fighting skills or jutsu techniques.
To perform this jutsu, a Kedōin member had to wear a mask and stay in the close vicinity of their target for an extended period of time.
4 The Shiin Clan Members Could Erase A Person’s Memories
The Shiin Clan was a clan that hailed from the Land of Rice Fields, and even though this clan was not as big or well known as other clans, it still had a Hiden jutsu that was unique to their members.
The jutsu was called the Memory Blocking Technique, which allowed the jutsu caster to erase a person’s memory, be it for a short while, or permanently.
3 Kurama Clan’s Kekkei Genkai Powers Made Them Genjutsu Masters
Not to be mistaken with Kurama the Nine-Tailed Fox, the Kurama clan was one of the clans that resided in the Hidden Leaf Village. The members of this clan had a Kekkei Genkai ability that made them natural masters of Genjutsu.
In rare cases, a Kurama member would be born with such powerful Genjutsu prowess that whatever they did to their victim in the Genjutsu world, would happen to them in the real world, allowing the caster to even kill people with their Genjutsu.
2 The Kamizuru Clan Could Make Clones Out Of Beeswax
The Kamizuru was a clan that lived in the Hidden Stone Village and, just like the Aburame clan used bugs, the Kamizuru clan used bees. With these bees, the clan members had developed several Hiden jutsu like the Beeswax Clone jutsu wherein they could make clones with the beeswax.
They also used other Hiden techniques like the Bee Bomb Jutsu or the Bee Honey jutsu against their enemies during battle.
1 Only A Few Members Of The Aburame Clan Could Use The Poison Techniques
Every member of the Aburame clan could host and control bugs, but there were a select few members of the clan who could host a special sect of bugs called the Rinkaichū. These tiny insects were special because they were venomous and could destroy a person’s cells, causing the enemies an immense amount of pain.
Their venomous properties also allowed the user to perform the Poison Cloud and Jar of Poison Techniques. Torune Aburame was one such member of the Aburame clan who used these techniques in the anime.
