10 Star Wars Characters Who Would Make Great Avengers | CBR

Being an Avenger isn’t easy, and there are quite a few members of the team who would be the first to say that. However, the characters of the Star Wars universe are more than used to sacrifice. Rebels, Jedi, and Sith alike have all been committed to their own individual causes in Star Wars over the years.

With such dedication, it’s hard not to admire these characters as potential heroes in a universe more like our own. There are actually a number of Star Wars characters that could successfully make the jump into the Marvel Universe and become excellent, helpful members of the Avengers team.

10 Amilyn Holdo Has Proven Herself An Impressive Leader

There are few moments in the Star Wars movies that are truly jaw-dropping, but Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo pulling off what would later become known as the Holdo Maneuver in The Last Jedi is surely one of them. The Last Jedi was one of the best movies in the Star Wars universe, and Holdo is part of the reason it’s so good.

She’s one of the Resistance leaders, helping out after Leia is knocked out of commission. While Poe unexpectedly challenges her, he ends up learning the importance of trusting others in command when Holdo proves herself. She evacuates the Resistance from her ship before she blasts the ship herself through the First Order’s fleet, killing herself— but saving the Resistance— in the process.

9 Anakin Skywalker’s Power Is Absolutely Unmatched

Anakin Skywalker Star Wars

Anakin Skywalker may have later become Darth Vader, but this is no reason not to have the man on the Avengers team. After all, if people like Tony Stark, who created monstrosities like Ultron, are allowed to be members, then Anakin Skywalker’s not totally out of the realm of possibility. In addition, before Anakin became Darth Vader, he was one of the greatest Jedi in the galaxy.

His immense power and his innate desire to do good is actually a huge part of his arc in the Star Wars universe. Anakin’s ultimate redemption— or forgiveness, at the very least, and acknowledgement— at his son’s hands before he dies would not be out of place on the pages of an Avengers comic or on the silver screen in a Marvel film.

8 Boba Fett Could Be A Valuable Hero (Or Anti-Hero)

Boba Fett From Star Wars

Like other bounty hunters, such as Din Djarin, Boba Fett may not always be considered to be a hero, but he ultimately makes decisions that make him far more complex than any villain. If anything, Boba Fett is something of an anti-hero. He’s a legend and a myth to many characters in the Star Wars universe, but those who do know him know he has strong morals.

When he wants vengeance, he seeks it; when he wants power, he claims it. He tries not to hurt innocents, but there have been casualties. Boba Fett may be someone for the Avengers to monitor, but he would undoubtedly make a valuable member of the team.

7 Chewbacca Provides The Kind Of Support Any Team Needs

While Chewbacca may seem like little more than Han Solo’s sidekick, the Wookie is a fighter and a Rebel in his own right. He’s gotten Han out of a fair amount of pickles. Whenever his friends were hurt, Chewbacca was there to help; when someone needed backup, Chewbacca was always there with his bowcaster.

In fact, when Han Solo was ultimately killed by his own son, Kylo Ren, Chewbacca fired on Kylo Ren out of sheer rage and heartbreak. He didn’t kill Kylo Ren, however, because Chewbacca is also emotionally intelligent and kind. While he may be difficult to communicate with, he’s compassionate and a skilled fighter— traits which are both invaluable to the Avengers team.

6 Finn Has Gotten Where He Is On His Own Merit

One of the bravest characters in the entire Star Wars universe is inarguably Finn. While he may have been taken as a child and raised as the Stormtrooper FN-2187, he chose to abandon the First Order. Finn ended up joining up with the Resistance and choosing to fight for the Rebel side throughout the story.

Though, like Han Solo once did in the original trilogy, Finn briefly had to leave to find out what he truly wanted, he returned and continuously fought to be better, fight better, and make the world better. He would be a wonderful addition to the Avengers team, just as he was to the Resistance.

5 Jyn Erso Can Make The Necessary Sacrifices & Do What Needs To Be Done

Along with the rest of her team in Rogue One, Jyn Erso would be a valuable member of any team. She was the child of the super-intelligent scientist Galen Erso before she was raised by the extreme fighter Saw Gerrera. This unique upbringing, along with Jyn’s inherent self, combined to make her into an incredible fighter and a valuable attribute.

Without her assistance, the Rebels never would have been able to actually successfully steal the Death Star plans that were required for the events of A New Hope to happen at all. She’s powerful, she’s independent, she’s a good teammate when she has to be, and she’s willing to make the necessary sacrifices when it comes right down to it. The Avengers would be lucky to have her.

4 K-2SO Can Give The Avengers Another Helpful Robot

If the Avengers love one thing, it’s utilizing every bit of extremely advanced technology at their disposal. It was this desire that drove Tony Stark to create the being known as Ultron, which was ultimately a bad move. However, he also created beings like J.A.R.V.I.S. and the Vision as a result of these technological advancements.

The Avengers loved Vision, and they would love droids from the Star Wars universe. They would likely especially enjoy droids like K-2SO. Not as annoying as C-3PO, not as inhuman as R2-D2 or BB-8, K-2SO is the perfect balance between “helpful droid” and “sarcastic human,” which would be a perfect addition to the Avengers team in any iteration.

3 Lando Calrissian’s Redemption Arc Earns Him A Spot On The Team

donald glover as lando

Much like Han Solo, Lando Calrissian is a helpful teammate— as long as his teammates can be sure he’s on their side. When Lando was first introduced to the Star Wars universe, he was really only Han’s buddy briefly on-screen before betraying him to Darth Vader.

However, over the years, Lando— and his betrayal— have been contextualized further, and he ended up growing past his decision to turn his friends over. Lando ended up becoming a hero in his own right and redeeming himself over time as a Rebel. The Avengers love a redemption arc, and they love a hero who wants to have one. Lando would be right at home on the Avengers team.

2 Leia Organa Would Be The Leader Of Any Team She Was On

If any superhero team would want anyone from the Star Wars universe to join them, they would likely choose Leia Organa. Every iteration of Leia has been absolutely invaluable to whatever team she has been on.

As a diplomat, a politician, a princess, a sister, a Rebel, a general, a Jedi— As anything, Leia is constantly successful, and striving to always be better. Like Finn, she wants the universe to be a better place, and she dedicated herself to making that happen. The Avengers would count themselves lucky to have someone like Leia on their team— if she even agreed to fight alongside them.

1 Luke Skywalker Has Always Been One Of The Most Powerful Fighters Inside & Out

Star Wars A New Hope Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill

Like his younger twin sister, Leia, Luke is one of the most powerful Force users in the galaxy. While Leia chose not to pursue her Jedi training, Luke was able to pursue his, and continued becoming more and more powerful.

After realizing what he had been about to do when he intended to destroy Ben Solo before he could become Kylo Ren, Luke placed himself in self-imposed exile, much like Obi-Wan Kenobi before him. Luke has always done what he truly believed to be the right thing for him to do, no matter the personal cost to himself. He would not only make a great Avenger, he could lead the team to victory more often than not, just like he did with the Rebels.
