The last item Snoopy collects is Lucy’s milk carton, before the latter has finished drinking her milk. In true Lucy fashion, she gets annoyed with Charlie Brown’s famous beagle and asks, “Charlie Brown, what is that dog of yours doing with all that garbage?” Charlie Brown very calmly replies, “He’s helping the environment and making a difference.” To the pleasant surprise of both, Snoopy has created a small birdhouse with individual apartments for Woodstock and friends.

Consistent with the Take Care with Peanuts initiative that offers creative ideas for people to “reuse, reduce and recycle,” the episode was made as part of the upcoming Earth Day celebration on April 22 with the overarching message, “Take care of yourself, take care of your friends and take care of the Earth.”
