In the Attack on Titan universe, the characters experience more than a little heartbreak and tragedy. This is one of the darkest shonen titles out there, skirting the boundary with seinen, and grief-stricken characters such as Eren Yeager and even Reiner Braun would do anything to erase the horrors of their world. Suppose Shenron was on hand to help?
Shenron of Dragon Ball fame will appear when all seven dragon balls are gathered, and he will grant any one wish that’s within his powers to grant. Suppose Eren collected the dragon balls at various points in Attack on Titan‘s story, and considered his options? He can only ask for one wish, and many possibilities would occur to him. Shenron is listening.
10 Eren Would Wish To Explore The World Beyond The Walls
This is a wish that Eren would have made before the Colossal Titan and Armored Titan broke down wall Maria. As a boy, Eren always wondered what the world outside the great walls was like, and he and his friend Armin Arlert read books and marveled at their illustrations of beaches, volcanoes, tundras, and more.
If Eren had the dragon balls during this time, he would definitely ask Shenron to grant him passage to the outside world on horseback, so he and Armin could see this incredible new world for themselves. And Mikasa Ackerman is free to come along too, of course.
9 Eren Would Wish For The Strength To Defeat Bullies
Eren had a problem with bullies and punks in his youth, often charging right into entire squads of bullies and fighting them all by himself. Such courage and conviction are good traits for a shonen hero, but Eren didn’t have the strength to defeat these bullies. He needed Mikasa’s help.
To fix this, and relieve Mikasa of the burden of watching over him, Eren would ask Shenron to grant him the strength and technique necessary to face any bully and take them down, no matter how badly outnumbered he is.
8 Eren Would Wish Carla Yeager Back To Life
Carla Yeager was Eren’s mother, and the second wife of Grisha Yeager (with Dina Fritz being his first wife). For a time, the three of them formed a happy family, until Wall Maria and Dina’s pure Titan came along. That Titan found the Yeager household and gobbled up Carla, much to Eren’s horror.
Not even Hannes the soldier could help, and Eren was forced to accept his powerlessness. But if he could get those dragon balls, he would wish for Carla’s revival, and keep her by his side as he trained to become a proper soldier.
7 Eren Would Wish For Mikasa-Level Skills
During boot camp, some trainees quickly established themselves as powerhouses— or at least, they proved their sheer guts and ambition, such as Jean. Mikasa was right at the top of her class, and Eren must have envied her abilities. Once again, she was getting ahead of him.
Of course, Eren is proud of Mikasa and is grateful for her help, but he doesn’t want such a gap between their abilities, and he was determined to take down all Titans by his own power. So, it’s time to ask Shenron for that power, and make a real soldier out of him.
6 Eren Would Wish To Seal The Hole In Trost’s Wall
A few years after Wall Maria fell, the Colossal and Armored Titans arrived again, and they and countless pure Titans overran the Trost district. Eren and his fellows tried to stem the flow of Titans coming through the hole in Wall Rose, but it was no good.
Eren eventually plugged that hole with a massive boulder via his Attack Titan form, but this operation was extremely costly in human lives. Instead, he would wish for that hole to be plugged, and then the soldiers could dispose of the Titans more easily.
5 Eren Would Wish To Capture Annie Intact
Later in Season 1, the mysterious Female Titan arrived, and it wanted to capture Eren no matter what. Soon enough, Eren realized that the Female Titan is Annie Leonhart, and he fought her within the walled city. Annie lost, but she escaped interrogation by containing herself in crystal.
It was impossible to question or interrogate Annie at all, depriving the Paradis Island military of vital intel on Annie and her mission. Eren would wish to capture Annie intact, so the military could at least try to question her normally.
4 Eren Would Wish To Save Erwin Smith’s Life
At some point, commander Erwin Smith and Armin were badly injured, and Levi Ackerman had only one Titan serum syringe to spare. He had to choose one of them to save, and the other would die. Eventually, he chose Armin, who saw the future and could lead Paradis Island to victory.
Eren would get it both ways if he could. Once he learned that Armin became the Colossal Titan at the expense of Erwin’s life, he would assemble the dragon balls and ask Shenron to revive Erwin Smith, good as new. A good leader like him could help point Paradis Island in the right direction.
3 Eren Would Wish To Reform The Military Police Brigade
One of the three major branches of Paradis Island’s military is the Military Police Brigade, supposedly an elite unit that maintains order and law. The reality is that this branch is corrupt, lazy and self-centered, little more than a scheming parasite inside the walls. Eren would change that with Shenron’s help.
Eren has seen humanity’s struggle against the Titans, and he won’t stand for military personnel goofing off and misusing tax money when there’s so much at stake. All of humanity must stand together, and Eren would reform the Military Brigade into a true anti-Titan force that can also root out rebels, spies, and other troublesome parties with ease.
2 Eren Would Wish For Additional War Materiel
In Season 4, Eren understands that the Titans are not the true threat to his people. In fact, the Titans are his people, his fellow Eldians, and the true enemy is the vast Marley Empire across the ocean. Paradis Island is not yet ready to face a larger, technologically superior foe.
Having more Titan Shifters will help, but Paradis Island hardly has any fleets or blimps to call its own, or artillery, etc. Therefore, Eren will ask Shenron to grant him countless weapons, ammunition, supplies and vehicles for the coming conflict to even the odds.
1 Eren Would Wish For The Paradis Island Military To See Things His Way
At some point, Eren Yeager and the Paradis Island top brass were at odds. Eren was a reckless agent of freedom who wanted to fight Marley on his own terms, with no oversight or hesitation. However, Dot Pyxis and his officers were more cautious and by-the-book. Eren and his followers were less than pleased.
Already, Eren and his Yeagerist followers are striking back, but ideally, bloodshed won’t be the solution. Instead, Eren would demand that Shenron change Dot Pyxis’ mind, and rally the entire Paradis Island to his cause, with Eren being the true leader. Now that’s some backup.
