As fans await the debut of Zack Snyder’s black-and-white version of Justice League, the Justice is Gray Edition, they can catch a new sneak peek of some of the film’s footage.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League‘s Twitter alerted fans on March 20 that “Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Justice is Gray coming soon to HBOMax.” The tweet was posted with a black-and-white clip from the Justice Is Gray Edition, focusing on Batman (Ben Affleck) and Alfred (Jeremy Irons) debating whether the Caped Crusader should fight on the Justice League.
At the time of this writing, the release date for the black-and-white cut has not been revealed.
Previously, and leading up to the film’s debut on HBO Max on March 18, Snyder shared that his preferred version of Justice League would be a black-and-white IMAX experience. Snyder stated, “That to me is the most fan-centric, most pure, most Justice League experience.”
Although his Justice League cut debuted with so many fans wanting to access the film that it crashed platforms, the director recently shared that he might be done with directing comic-book movies for a while. A couple of days after the film’s release, Snyder shared, “I’m pretty happy with just kind of working, the movie that we just finished, but I don’t really have like a burning desire to make another comic book movie, I’ll say.”
