Attack On Titan is one of the biggest anime worldwide—a verified cultural phenomenon both at home in Japan and in the United States—and is one of the biggest shows on TV. The battle between the Eldians, the Titans, and the Marleyans has captured the imaginations of many. The Titans are a powerful threat and still would be regardless of where they attack—even the Marvel Universe.
However, the Avengers’ heroes are a varied and powerful group with some more than capable of routing Titans on their own, and others who would fall before the powerful creatures.
10 Could Beat A Titan: Scarlet Witch Could End The Titan Scourge By Herself
Scarlet Witch’s reality-altering powers make her one of the powerful humans in the Marvel Universe and would allow her to blast through any numbers of Titans easily. Sure, she’s not some physical powerhouse, but the chances of them getting her are slim to none.
All Scarlet Witch would have to do is utter the words, “No More Titans,” and that would pretty much be the end of things. Even if it only killed the vast majority of them, like her depowering most mutants, she’d still effectively end the Titans in short order.
9 Couldn’t Beat A Titan: Black Widow Would Die Like Many Members Of The Survey Corps
Black Widow is as tough as they come and has taken out more than her share of foes, but a battle against a Titan would be a bit too much for her. While she’s done her fair share of swinging around in the comics, it’s a skill she hasn’t used as much in recent years. She also doesn’t have the weapons it takes to do enough damage to a Titan.
Her swinging couldn’t match ODM gear’s speed and maneuverability, making it easy for a Titan to get a hold of her and eat her. She has the skills, but not the physical strength or ability to stay away from a Titan.
8 Could Beat A Titan: The Vision’s Mix Of Powers Make Him An Ideal Titan Killer
The Vision is one of the Avengers’ most stalwart members, and he would be a Titan killing machine. He’s super strong and durable, can fly, fire powerful solar blasts, and change his density, going from nearly impenetrable to intangible with a thought. With his mix of powers, Titans wouldn’t stand a chance against him.
The Titans couldn’t touch Vision if he didn’t want them to. He could phase them through them and use his powerful solar lasers to cut through the nape of Titan’s necks with no fuss at all or rip through them with his super strength. The Titans wouldn’t stand a chance against the Vision.
7 Couldn’t Beat A Titan: Hawkeye’s Repertoire Of Arrows Wouldn’t Save Him
Hawkeye is one of the most underrated Avengers, but against a Titan, he wouldn’t be able to do very much at all. He’s easily one of the team’s bravest members and would throw himself at the Titans, but they’d make short work of him. Even with his arsenal of trick arrows, he’d fall before he took down a single one.
Titan fighting takes a lot of mobility for regular humans, with even extraordinary ones like Levi and Mikasa Ackerman needing ODM gear to survive. Hawkeye wouldn’t be able to get around fast enough, and his arrows wouldn’t help him in a frontal assault against the Titans.
6 Could Beat A Titan: Captain Marvel’s Powers Would Be Too Much For Titans
Captain Marvel is one of the Avengers’ most powerful members, with the skills she learned in the military making her even more formidable. Titans can be very dangerous foes, but they wouldn’t be a challenge up against someone like Captain Marvel. She’s way too powerful for a Titan, and if one got their hands on her by some stroke of luck, she’d make them pay for it.
Captain Marvel is another Avenger who would take out any number of Titans completely independently- she’s vastly more powerful than them and doesn’t get tired. She could fly around, blasting holes in the napes of Titan’s necks with little trouble.
5 Couldn’t Beat A Titan: Ant-Man’s Powers Wouldn’t Let Him Strike A Killing Blow
Ant-Man’s size-changing powers may allow him to survive against a Titan for a while, but they wouldn’t give him any weapons that would allow him actually to beat a Titan. Even if he tried to grow inside of one to burst it, it’s doubtful it would work- the inside of a Titan is known for being hot enough to produce steam, which would scold the small Avenger.
On top of that, he doesn’t have any way of striking at the nape of the neck and would eventually get tired as a regular human. Eventually, his inability to take down a Titan and his human frailties would spell doom for him.
4 Could Beat A Titan: Thor’s Been Beating Giants For Years
If there’s any Avenger who would beat Titans, it’s Thor. He’s been fighting giants for millennia, for starters- some of Asgard’s deadliest enemies are the Frost Giants. While they are easier to kill than a Titan, Thor would still be able to defeat Titans rather easily.
Mjolnir may not be bladed, but the force with which Thor swings would allow it to rip through the nape of a Titan’s neck easily. On top of that, his durability would stop a Titan from hurting him, and his flight and lightning blasts would allow him to defeat multiple Titans quickly.
3 Couldn’t Beat A Titan: Black Knight Doesn’t Have What It Takes To Survive Long Enough
Black Knight has been a member of the Avengers for a long time, but a Titan would make short work. His Ebony Blade would definitely be able to cut through the nape of a Titan’s neck, but the problem would be getting to the nape of the neck before the Titan got him. While he does wear armor, it wouldn’t afford him much protection against a Titan.
Black Knight isn’t known for his agility, and his physical ability wouldn’t help him very much, either. He’s not mobile enough to survive long enough to get to the nape of the neck of a Titan and land the killing blow before one got him.
2 Could Beat A Titan: Iron Man Just Has Too Many Weapons
Iron Man’s armor is one of the Swiss army knives of the Marvel Universe, and it would let him destroy all kinds of Titans. It would protect him against any Titan attack if they were even able to get a hold of him, and its repertoire of weapon systems would let him easily take down a lot of Titans. In fact, with his onboard targeting systems, taking out Titans would be a snap.
Iron Man could fly out of the Titans’ reach, use his onboard targeting systems to paint multiple Titans, and let the computer do all of the work, launching missiles and blasting napes with repulsor blasts. In contrast, the computer piloted the armor around. Titan killing would be a snap for him.
1 Couldn’t Beat A Titan: Captain America Seems Like He Should Be Able To Defeat A Titan, But Couldn’t
On paper, it looks like Captain America would be able to beat a Titan. He’s known for being quick and acrobatic, and his shield would definitely be able to slice some napes. However, Scouts in ODM gear are fast as well, and Titans kill scores of them. As good as Cap is, he wouldn’t be able to avoid a Titan long enough.
Cap would be great for planning the assault on the Titans, but his limited mobility, while excellent in most situations, wouldn’t allow him to stay out of a Titan’s way long enough to take one down.
