Writer/artist Jeff Lemire has announced plans to revive his creator-owned series Sweet Tooth at DC, on the heels of Netflix’s announcement of the cast of its Robert Downey, Jr. produced Sweet Tooth TV series.
Lemire tweeted the news, saying “It is happening again…that candy bar you liked is going to come back in style,” along with new art, seen here.
The tragic, post-apocalyptic Sweet Tooth originally ran for 40 issues from 2009 to 2013 through DC’s now defunct Vertigo imprint.
No specific details of Lemire’s plans for the Sweet Tooth revival – apparently titled Sweet Tooth: The Return – have been announced.
