While day-and-date print/digital comics will resume from Marvel on May 27, the publisher has announced plans for some of its titles to switch to digital-only starting May 13 via Marvel Digital and comiXology.
Seven current titles, as well as one upcoming new launch title, will now go digital-first for serialization – with Marvel planning to compile the digital editions in print collections later.
The eight titles going digital-first are the ongoing Ghost-Spider, and the limited series Ant-Man, Avengers of the Wastelands, Ravencroft, Star, Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Black Cat Strikes, Hawkeye: Freefall, and 2020: Ironheart.

While DC seems to be signaling a significant move into true digital-first original content, it’s now the relatively quiet Marvel that’s making the initial move.
