The organizers of 2017’s Mine! are reuniting for a new anthology aimed to raise funds for environment causes. On Wednesday, April 22 – Earth Day – editors Joe Corallo and Molly Jackson have have revealed to Newsarama that they’re working on a new anthology to benefit the non-profit National Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
“The new anthology will feature some familiar names from Mine! as well as new collaborators to tell stories about important environmentalists, the origins of Earth Day, small steps we can do to make our world a better place, as well as genre stories incorporating themes of environmental activism,” Corallo tells Newsarama.
Founded in 1970, the NRDC works to “safeguard the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the places we treasure” according to their website.
“We want to support the NRDC as they’re an international organization promoting environmental advocacy through science, litigation, and green business practices,” Corallo says.
Corallo and Jackson intended to announce the anthology’s title, publisher, and release date today on Earth Day, but they are holding off on that due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and will share those details when they have a better idea of when print and distribution channels will be back online.
