Diamond Comic Distributors’ longtime Marketing Director Dan Manser has left the company – and the comics business entirely – for a new job in the healthcare industry. He will remain in the Baltimore area, working as the Digital Marketing Manager for medical device company Ambu USA
“This next chapter in my career will provide many new challenges and growth and I can’t wait to get to work,” Manser wrote on LinkedIn. “Many thanks to my friends and coworkers at Diamond and the comics industry in general, I hope and pray for better days ahead for you. I cherish all the creative efforts and successes we’ve had together and learned so much from all of you.”
Manser joined Diamond in 1990 as its Director of Marketing Communications, and was with the company as it transitioned to being the dominant distributor of comics to the Direct Market. He left the company in 1997 for a job in the video game industry, but returned in 2007 as its Marketing Director – a position he held until this month.
