The eccentric former zoo owner Joe Exotic – a.k.a. ‘Tiger King’ – will be the subject of TidalWave Productions’ latest biographical one-shot, as announced via Reuters.
“You can’t make this stuff up,” writer Michael Frizell said in the announcement. “I never imagined I’d be researching a book like this. It was a challenge to find a focus for the comic because there’s so much happening.”
Joe Exotic is a former zoo owner whose life was documented in the recent Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness.
“A zoo owner spirals out of control amid a cast of eccentric characters in this true murder-for-hire story from the underworld of big cat breeding,” reads Netflix’s description of that hit show.”
TidalWave’s Infamous: Tiger King is announced to debut this June, drawn by an artist to be named later.
