TNT’s Snowpiercer is coming into the station early – two weeks early! – attributed to the coronavirus pandemic.

Snowpiercer is one of the most anticipated original series of 2020 and in this climate, viewers are craving thrilling, engaging, edge-of-your-seat content that speaks to them on a deeper level,” Brett Weitz, general manager for TNT, TBS and truTV, told Variety. “It is extremely important that we continue with our promise to meet audiences where they are, and to that effect, we are moving up Snowpiercers premiere so that fans can enjoy this futuristic series even earlier.”

The show is now set to debut May 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, moving up from its previous arrival time of May 31.

Starring Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs, Snowpiercer adapts the 2013 film of the same name, which in turn is based on French comic book The Escape by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette.
