Lorne Balfe has stepped in to compose music for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow, according to Film Music Reporter.
This report arrives just a month ahead of the film’s original planned release date of May 1. That date has since been rescinded and the film postponed due to theater closings amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, with no new release date yet announced.
Alexandre Desplat was previously billed as the composer of the film’s score. It’s unclear if Desplat has been replaced at the seeming last minute, or if Balfe will compose supplemental music alongside Desplat’s score.
