Sotheby’s auction house announced the private sale of DC Complete: The Ian Levine Collection on Monday, an offering of every comic book published by DC from 1935 through 2014 – totaling over 40,000 issues, including complete runs of Superman, Batman, Action Comics, and Detective Comics through 2014.
It’s a collection that one-time DC Publisher Paul Levitz has even said he stepped up to help build – sending comics from DC’s own archives.
The collection is available now and is on view on Sothebys.com, and the auction house has given Newsarama permission to publish their full 27 page catalog describing the collection here.
