Marvel Studios’ Black Widow has been pulled from its planned May 1 theatrical release – with a make-up release date not announced. First reported by Variety, this comes as the COVID-19 (commonly known as coronavirus) pandemic spreads, and theater chains such as AMC and Regal have closed all of their locations.
Two other Disney films – Searchlight’s The Personal History of David Copperfield and 20th Century Studios’ The Woman in the Window – were also pulled from the release schedule.
This follows parent company Disney’s decision last week to postpone New Mutants, Mulan, and Antlers as well.
