Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in Marvel Studios’ Black Widow, according to Deadline. Curiously reported in passing by the Hollywood trade in a story about the Saturn Awards, this would follow Stark’s on-screen death and memorial in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
Deadline doesn’t give any details about the nature of RDJ’s role, but given previous reports that Black Widow will be set between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, a cameo would be feasible in MCU continuity with no need of a resurrection.
Black Widow is scheduled to open May 1, 2020.
