The trailer features appearances by new characters including Hildegard von Mariendorf (played by Kanazawa Hana), Flegel (Furuya Toru), and Arthur Lynch (Futamata Issei).
Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Seiran is inspired by Tanaka Yoshiki’s popular science fiction novels. Production I.G previously adapted the novel in April 2018 a TV anime series. The “second season”, “Seiran”, will take the form of three animated movies which will each be screened in cinemas for three weeks only.
