In less than 24 hours, House of X #1 will be released – the first issue in what Marvel’s marketing has described as a new era for the X-Men and its mutant franchise. After a bevy of announcements over the weekend at Comic-Con International: San Diego, writer Jonathan Hickman is giving out some final words about the launch before he goes “radio silent from here on out.”
HOUSE OF X is out tomorrow, and following that a new issue of HOUSE OF X or POWERS OF X comes out every week for the next three months.
Here are a few important things that haven’t been mentioned anywhere, but you might want to be aware of…

These books are IMPOSSIBLE for comic shop owners to order correctly.
Because of the way our market works, and because this is a weekly book, store owners had to order multiple issues worth (I think up to POX #3) before knowing if you would even be interested…

So don’t get pissed at your store if they’re short, it’s not their fault, it’s mine.
To combat this, Marvel has already done a second printing of both HOX and POX 1, and we’re almost certainly going to go into heavy reprints with all the subsequent issues…

Which is no big deal. I promise, we’re going to get you guys copies of the books.
However, because of all the variants these days, and knowing we were going to go into reprint city because of the way this had to be structured…

Our wonderful @hellomuller logo is color-coded so you don’t have to worry about if you’re buying the correct issue or not in a confusing sea of covers.
Each set of issues (HOX/POX 1 – HOX/POX 2) has it’s own color scheme, it’s just inverted for the POX issue. Super easy…

Just look at the logo if you get confused and snag the two red ones, blue ones, etc.

FINALLY, I’m SUPER difficult to work with. Just a total pain in the ass.
So, full credit to my collaborators for not murdering me yet…

The work that @PepeLarraz, @RB_Silva and @martegracia have done on these books is amazing. Just stunning.
God bless @ClaytonCowles for putting up with my insane rewrites.
I won’t say my editors names because they will appear, but they should have fired me long ago.

I’m kidding. I cannot be fired.

Anyway, it’s good to be back. This is going to be fun.
I’ll be mostly radio silent from here on out (how gross was all that PR? I have the hives)…
But you guys enjoy yourselves, play nice, and keep your car clean.
