Warner Bros.’s movie division is skipping Comic-Con International: San Diego’s Hall H this year, according to IGN. That is somewhat surprising giving the fall 2019 Joker as well as the spring 2020 Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) and Wonder Woman 1984 films, in addition to WB’s various other upcoming films such as Dune.
It Chapter Two director Andy Muschetti has announced that his film will have an event concurrent but outside of SDCC at Warner Bros.’s “ScareDiego” event. It is possible that other WB films could do similarly, outside the auspicies of Hall H or SDCC entirely.
Warner Bros.’ 2018 Hall H presentation included promotion of Shazam! and Wonder Woman 1984.
