Disney Channel has renewed its Big Hero 6 animated series for a third season, according to Deadline.
The renewal arrives ahead of the second season’s May 6 premiere. The series is adapted from the Disney animated film, which is in turn a loose adaptation of the Marvel Comics characters.
The upcoming second season features a voice cast of Maya Rudolph, Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, Jamie Chung, Alan Tudyk, Khary Payton, Genesis Rodriguez, Brooks Wheelan, David Shaughnessy and Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee as Fred’s dad. Returning this season are Emmy nominees Christy Carlson Romano and Andy Richter , Jenifer Lewis, Haley Tju and Mara Wilson.
The release date for Big Hero 6‘s third season has not been announced.
