Lionsgate’s R-Rated Hellboy reboot eeked out a $22 million opening weekend globally, according to Variety.
That breaks down to $10m internationally and $12m in North America, which is 25% less than the $16m tracking numbers expected. The film was shown in 3,303 locations in North America, and 41 markets abroad.
According to surveys, 56% of Hellboy‘s opening weekend audience was male, and 64% were over the age of 25.
