Actress Michelle Yeoh has been cast in James Cameron’s Avatar sequels in the role of Dr. Karina Mogue.
No further information about Yoeh’s character has been revealed. The casting was announced on the offiical Avatar Twitter account.

It’s unclear if Yeoh’s role will extend beyond the first Avatar sequel, with Cameron planning three more movies to ultimately comprise a five-part film series.
Yeoh herself is no stranger to genre projects, appearing as a series regular in Star Trek: Discovery, and in a cameo as Aleta Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Avatar 2 is scheduled for a December 18, 2020 theatrical release.
